On teh Internetz
May. 9th, 2010 08:09 pmGreetings, fellow simmers (and, possibly, anyone else)! This is lagritsalammas speaking writing. You have stumbled across - surprise-surprise - my first blog post which is probably going to be one of those cheesy "Hey-look-I'm-on-teh-Internetz"-type of entries. But after all, I do like cheese!
I am a GoS-based simmer who's into - sim-wise - clutter, grunge, neon, rather building and decorating that actually playing, small houses and, um, smustle? The real-life lagritsalammas is a guy from Estonia who's into old wooden architecture; folk-music with bits of anti-folk, jazz and indie; drawing, ceramics, acting and other forms of art; longs walks and generally enjoying life. Currently, I am still a high school student who's torn between various thoughts on the subject of what to do with his life in the future. Most probably I'm going to study either acting or architecture. Or restoration. Or anything among those lines.
Anyway, I had been thinking of starting a simming blog for quite a while but never actually got to it due to lack of time or the good old laziness. Besides, since I have some server space of my own, it seemed kind of absurd to start using a blogging service instead of setting up a website on my personal domain. That was until CuriousB announced The Big Dreamwidth Code Give-Away for which I am ever so thankful.
I had been peeping towards Dreamwidth for a while and had to admit it seemed far cooler than other similar blogging sites. Now that I had an invite code, I decided to give it a go. I registered, spent most of yesterday evening, half of the night and the bigger part of today messing about with CSS and graphics. And now, here it is, my very own sim-blog (feel the cheesiness?)! I was right about the awesomeness of Dreamwidth, for I was able to get (almost) everything looking the way I wanted it to look while still maintaining all the convenient functions of a blog I wouldn't have managed to set up from scratch (that is, if I would've gone for building a site to publish on that aforementioned domain of mine instead of using Dreamwidth).
The purpose of this blog to share pictures of my TS2 game, any creations I might possibly make and, on occasion, treat you with some general blabber. In case you're wondering, I can still be found over at Garden of Shadows, the place I'd like to call my Sims-home.
Cheers!
